Repousse with Chasing- A technique that raises the surface of the metal by punding it from the backside, then outlining or defining the design on the front side. In Southwestern jewelry these are more commonly referred to as EMBOSSING and STAMPING. Navajo jewelers usually made their own tools for both of these processes, using old files, chisels or tempered steel for blanks. (Limited Stock)
