Horsehair Pottery
Southwest Indian Foundation presents Horsehair style Ceramics and Pottery Art for sale. Horse hair pottery is an artistic twist on traditional pottery making, in which the artist crafts the mane and tail hair from a horse into the pottery and then skillfully fires it in a kiln using a special technique that is somewhat hazardous and time consuming. The fine lines come from the hair from the mane and the thicker lines come from the tail. Ceramic pottery is beautiful and collectible. Southwest Indian Foundation pledges to offer and promote the very best in authentic Native American handcrafts.
